CARIBBEAN MOUNTAIN VILLA
Integrating this holiday home with nature was the first step to conceptualization. Bringing the landscape indoors, the nature inspired materials palette is restrained, honest and continuos. Travertine as the backbone, is carried across floors, walls, and key moments to create a quiet, immersive envelope. Wood adds rhythm through slatted detailing and soft architectural breaks. Every material is doing real work, including the breathtaking Eramosa stone fireplace that is the focal point on the ground floor.
Lighting was treated as part of the architecture. Concealed illumination defines volumes, washes the stone, and creates that low, ambient glow that shifts throughout the day, allowing the materials to read the way they should.
The goal was to create spaces that feel grounded and deeply connected to their setting. It is no doubt that walking inside this home, even during construction evokes instant serenity. This is a villa designed to be felt and noticed.
