I design spaces for people. Human-centered design shapes how we feel, what we remember, and how we live. I started Alfonsina Romero Design to make everyday experiences more meaningful- your home included. At ARNY, we lead with strong concepts, creative strategy, and a sharp sensitivity to how people feel in a space. As a founder, I choose authenticity over formulas. My background in fashion and event public relations trained me in storytelling, tone, and rhythm—skills I now bring to interiors. I studied Communications at Brooklyn College, with minors in Marketing and Psychology, then went on to study Interior Design at Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT). I got my start in hospitality design through FF&E work, behind the scenes on The Dream Hotel in New York and W Miami. That experience led to roles at New York design firms working across both boutique and branded hospitality. The ARNY aesthetic is shaped by curiosity, immersive experiences, and meaningful detail. Global travel continues to inform my perspective, with lasting inspiration drawn from time spent in South Africa, Sweden, Spain, and China. A strong concept gives design meaning. It’s the roadmap to creating rooms that makes a space feel human, lived, and hard to forget.
