PROFILE

Design at ALFONSINA ROMERO begins with a question, a feeling, a story and unfolds through a process that brings it to life.  Balancing bold materiality, natural textures and a lived in authenticity, we resist formulas and design for the senses. The same applies to creating excellent events and crafted experiences.  I'm drawn to the emotional pull of environments, this interest led me from studying Communications at Brooklyn College to Interior Design at FIT. My design career began in hospitality at an internship for an FF&E procurement firm, contributing to projects including The Dream Hotel in New York and W Miami. Ask me about my tenures at NYC firms at an FF&E and architectural designer capacity for both boutique and branded hotels. Independently at ARNY, my company proudly took lead on public lobby spaces, restaurants, private homes and a luxury Caribbean retreat.  Seek design to make a statement and to connect each space to its context.
