Design at ALFONSINA ROMERO starts with a question. Not a style, not a formula. A point of view that is tested, refined, and built into something tangible.

We work with contrast, bold materiality against natural texture, precision against instinct, always grounded in context. The goal is not to decorate, but to shape environments that register emotionally and hold up in real life. This approach carries through everything we do, from interiors to the experiences that surround them.

My path into design was not linear. With a background in Communications and formal interior design training at the Fashion Institute of Technology, I entered the industry through hospitality, contributing to projects including Dream Hotel and W Miami. I went on to work across FF&E and architectural design within New York firms, developing projects for both boutique and branded hotels.

Today, as founder at ALFONSINA ROMERO, I lead work across a range of scales, from public-facing environments to private residences and Caribbean retreats. Each project is approached with the same rigor: to create spaces that feel considered, specific, and quietly powerful.
